‘If you want another kind of love, I’ll wear a mask for you.’ Leonard Cohen

As a couple that have lived and worked together for the past ten years, this quote means a lot to us. Although we feel that Love is more about being your self around one another, adapting to help each other grow as individuals without having to wear any sort of mask at all.
Damian was at the same school as my sister, so I already knew him, but we met properly one night at our local pub in Leeds.
After being engaged for five years, Damian proposed on my 21st Birthday whilst we were living in NYC, we finally got married this summer in Tel Aviv.
We are so relaxed and used to each others company that when we are at home we definitely don’t hold anything back or wear a mask, but when we go to meetings and become Silver Spoon, we get to play different roles. We run our business from our home in a converted stable in Islington. Damian focuses mostly on building the brand and doing creative consulting for various outlets, whilst I spend my days styling numerous musicians and editorials.
Even though we try and separate the work, we are constantly running things by each other and bouncing ideas off one another.
I’d say we do still have a lot of learning to do on how to detach our work from our home life, maybe we could wear a mask for that?
