This is a website that explores the proposal that emotional complexity cannot be expressed online.The website uses a hypothetical, future fiction to suggest what the consequences of this could be.Out of connivence we use a medium (digital) that is dominated by systems that do most of our thinking for us, but machines don't think like people. There is no drop down menu that allows for a complex emotional state; I might feel elation, anxiety & loss all at the same time and this is not accounted for in digital media.
